Middle C Music Instruction opened on March 4, 2005 in Cookeville Tennessee, by owner Caleb Carr, who had already been giving guitar and piano lessons in Cookeville for about six years. It's original location was 227 Suite B Proffitt Street, but after three years, and after adding two new instructors, Middle C moved next door to suite B to accommodate the growing student population. It was also at that time that Middle C added drum lessons to it's list of instruments being taught. Today there are over 160 students enrolled in various music lessons including: guitar, bass, drums, piano,vocal, and mandolin, taught by four instructors.

Our mission is to provide an encouraging, as well as safe, learning atmosphere, where people of all ages, and all walks of life, can come to learn the joy of playing a musical instrument from competent instructors whom are skilled at the instruments they play, and whom possess such qualities as integrity, patience, Christian values, and other professional attributes needed to insure the successfulness of Middle C students.

A Note from the Owner.....

When I began teaching guitar in 1998, I never dreamed it would turn into a full time job. I started out with about three students. I would go to each of their homes each week to give them guitar lessons. About a year later I began working in a local music store, where I began to also teach bass and piano. I started Middle C Music Instruction in 2005 with about seventy students. Today, along with some of the most talented musicians I've ever meet, we teach over 160 children and adults from all over the Upper Cumberland area. I love what I do, and I strive to make sure that every person that comes through our doors has a successful experience in our program. Thank you for visiting our website.
